Atlas Corporis privacy policy
Last updated:
Atlas Corporis is an educational 3D anatomy atlas by Benji Oddballs Studios. It isn’t a clinical service. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
The short version
- Your notes, bookmarks, saved views and practice results stay on your device.
- No advertising, no analytics and no tracking in the app. We don’t sell your data.
- The web version may let you sign in with an email address or Google account. That account doesn’t hold your notes.
What stays on your device
Saved views, bookmarks, structure notes, practice results, display settings and downloaded anatomy files are stored on your device. They aren’t uploaded to us, even when you’re signed in. You can export a backup of your notebook to a place you choose.
You can remove this data through your browser or phone settings, or by uninstalling the app. Doing so may permanently remove anything you haven’t exported. Please don’t put patient information or other sensitive personal data in your notes.
Using the web version
When you open the web version, our hosting provider processes your IP address, request details and technical logs to deliver and protect the app. These requests never include your notebook.
Accounts (web version)
The web version may offer an account, provided by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Email and password: Firebase processes your email address, password, verification status, an account ID, sign-in events and the security data needed to sign you in. Your password goes to Firebase over an encrypted connection and is never stored in your notebook. Firebase sends verification and password-reset emails.
- Sign in with Google: Google confirms who you are and shares your Google account’s email address, name, profile picture link and account ID with Firebase. Atlas Corporis uses the email address to show which account is signed in. Google’s own privacy policy covers your Google account.
Account data is kept while your account exists. You can sign out, or delete your account permanently, in the app’s Settings. If that doesn’t work, email [email protected]. Deleting your account doesn’t erase the notebook stored on your device.
The Android beta doesn’t use accounts: it opens without signing in and loads its anatomy files from the app itself.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The app has no advertising, analytics, session recording or behavioural tracking. If we ever add optional analytics, they’ll stay off until you choose to turn them on.
Registering for Atlas Corporis
The registration form is run by Tally (tally.so), which stores what you enter in it. We use your email address only to send you a thank-you and to tell you when Atlas Corporis is out on Google Play and the App Store. The emails are sent through our email service provider, Brevo. To be removed, email [email protected] and we’ll delete your registration.
Children
Atlas Corporis is for people aged 13 and older. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any information we hold about you, including under Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU’s GDPR. Email [email protected]. We may need to confirm a request comes from the account holder before acting on account data.
Changes
We’ll update this page when the app’s data practices change. Before the public Google Play release, we’ll check this policy, the app’s behaviour and its Play Data safety answers together. The date at the top shows the latest version.
